Also known as International Accreditation Forum Multilateral Recognition Arrangement

Historic multilateral agreement of the International Accreditation Forum. Since 1 January 2026, it should be read as a transitional reference integrated into the Global ACI / MRA architecture, which unifies the functions previously performed by IAF and ILAC.

Use it when citing documentation from before 2026 or when an accreditation chain still retains IAF MLA language during the transition.

Not to be confused with

It must not be presented as the main architecture currently in force if the context requires the updated international reference following the launch of Global ACI.
